Chevy Corvette Callaway C16

The C16 Callaway Corvette is by far one of the most incredible convertible super cars I’ve had the pleasure of laying my eyes on! It’s the latest product from Callaway Cars; the 16th in it's line, hence the C16 moniker. It's breathtaking design is based primarily on the factory Chevrolet Corvette blueprint. Paul Deutschman, the veteran expert designer for Callaway Cars, has redesigned the Callaway C16 convertible from it's already impressive factory styling. The new design has retained most of its previous Chevy Corvette features like the power top and GM throttle body spacers. The C16 Callaway Corvette "Deutschleder" interior comes with German leather and Alcantara trim design. Some of the interior cockpit components upgraded by Callaway Cars include custom optional sport seats, door sill panels, steering wheel and passenger dash. Each Callaway Corvette C16 is especially marked with a unique serial number plaque to mark its identity. Almost every factory body panel is replaced by Callaway with it's AeroBody kit, including all fenders, hood, nose and tail end. Under the sleek and stylish body lies one of the best features of the Callaway C16; it's incredibly high performance engine. The C16 convertible comes well equipped with a supercharged 6.0-liter V8 engine capable of pumping out about 560-horse power. Now, if this isn’t enough, Callaway offers those in need for more power output an optional power train package. With this package, the C16 V8 engine pumps out an outstanding 616-horse power at 6,200 rpm and produces 582 lb-ft amount of peak torque at 4,750 rpm. The power train package allows the Corvette Callaway C16 to accelerate at an amazing rate. It can go from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, and can reach top speed at over 200 mph! If you are looking for a car that has serious muscle coupled with fuel economy that is rare in performance cars, the Callaway C16 Corvette is an excellent choice! Gas mileage with the 6 speed manual gearbox is 16 MPG city and 26 MPG highway. Select the optional 6 speed automatic transmission (with or without paddle shift) and fuel efficiency dips just a bit to 15 PPG city and 25 MPG highway. The Callaway/Eiback Milti-Pro coil-over suspension along with the super-lightweight Callaway Dymag wheels (also known as the lightest road wheel in the industry), allows for a dynamic handling of this super car! The Callaway C16 is well equipped with 19-inch Dymag wheels on the front, and 20-inch wheels at the rear. Now, with all that said, you might be wondering what does this amazing customized Corvette cost? It's priced at approximately $182,000 from your local Callaway authorized dealer. Now, that’s a pretty penny, but if you are looking for the best muscle super car around, that's the price to fill your need for speed! |
